Authority

Changing Our Drain to Drive

Psalm 113

We are called to praise God, even when times are difficult. God’s Kingdom is our prize and we set our eyes on that goal. God gives us the strength to keep going when things become difficult.

Strengthened with All Power

Luke 23: 33-43

It is important to take intentional time to thank God for His salvation and everything does for us every day.  He is strong and powerful and stengthens us to do His will.

The Immortal

Luke 20:27-38

The resurrected life is different from earthly life. People will be immortal when they reach their resurrected life. Our heavenly bodies will never get sick. People would ask mortal questions and Jesus would provide immortal answers.

Giving Thanks

Luke 17:11-19

In Luke’s gospel, there is a story of 10 men being healed. In the story, only one person thanked Jesus for his cleansing. As Christians, our praise and worship are signs of thanksgiving to God.

Sign of the Times?

Luke 21: 5-19

While we do not know the exact date and time of the end of the world, many people believe that we are in the end times. The Bible gives us signs of this event. Our fate, however, is ultimately in God’s hand. He will protect us and shield us from whatever may come.

The Power of God

1 Corinthians 1:18-31

The cross represents the power of God for Christians, but it appears foolish to nonbelievers. Paul wrote his letters in simple language so that the cross could be the focus.

Called to Follow

1 Corinthians 1: 10-18

We are called to follow Christ first. Christians are often divided by denominations and churches, but we are called to be known as those who follow Christ. Christians need to be focused on unity and peace, not division.

Can I Get a Witness?

John 1:29-42

Witnesses play a huge part in the way stories are remembered. A witness to an event tells those who was not present what happened. Many crimes throughout time would be solved easier if there had been witnesses. The Bible is filled with the witnesses of those who were alive to experience the events of the Bible.

Men and Women Still Seek Him

Matthew 2:1-12

The Wise Men were in-tune enough with God that they could spot the fact that His Word was at play when they saw the signs to follow Jesus. God calls us to listen to Him and to follow His signs for our own lives so that we can uncover what he has in store.

The Higher Calling of Purpose

II Timothy 1:1-14

It is common for people to question the purpose for their lives. The Bible gives us the answer: we are here to bring glory to God in every aspect of our lives.

A Time For Remembrance

Bible Text: Exodus 32: 7-14; 1 Timothy 1:  12-17; Luke 15: 1-10
On the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, we remember the hope that was found in a flag found at Ground Zero. We need these glimpses of hope in times of physical and spiritual warfare. Christians find this hope in the cross of Jesus Christ in that Jesus died for us to forgive us from our sins.

Ahh Spiritual Refreshment

Bible Text: Philemon 1:1-21

In hard times, both physically and emotionally, we need refreshment. Refreshment can come from various places, from a cold glass of lemonade to family prayer. We are called to share God’s love to give others spiritual refreshment.

Divine Supremacy

Bible Text: Psalm 82

While we have earthly rulers, God is the head ruler of all. He rules over the earthly rulers, “gods,” and others who have authority. We have laws and we have expectations for what our government should be doing.

Testimony: Ed Kachinsky

Ed Kachinsky gives his testimony on how God had spoken to him and his wife, Jan, through it all. God “told” Ed that He was in control of everything, from where the surgery would be held to the length of time Jan was in the hospital. God speaks to us in little ways and reaches us in ways we understand. He has complete control over our lives and has a plan for everything.

Our Greatest Hope

Bible Text: Luke 10:25-37; Colossians 1:1-14; Deuteronomy 30:9-14
Pastor Marianne explains the hope of the Christian with many insights on prayer.

The Number One “One Word” Command

Bible Text: Bible Text: Luke 7:11-17; 1 Kings 17:8-24; Galatians 1:11-24
Listen as Pastor Marianne uses the incident with Jesus and the widow of Nain to show how we should rise and have compassion on those around us just as God has compassion on us.  We can be lifted up above all of the trials and issues we face on earth. God loves us so rise above it all!

Heaven’s Happiness

Bible Text: Psalm 96:1-9; Galatians 1:1-12; Luke 7:1-10
Pastor Marianne preaches about Heaven’s happiness.  We should praise God and be blessed because of the happiness that is in Heaven.  God loves a cheerful giver and we can give of ourselves in many ways and be happy about it.

Aligning Ourselves With God

Bible Text: John 13:34-35
Pastor Marianne Unger explains how by loving one another, we align ourselves with God.  This is a powerful message for practical Christian living and is very beneficial especially in situations where you have to actively love someone that you do not like.  Listen, be edified, and go out and love even your enemies.

Deep Inside the Heart

Bible Text: John 21:1-19
Jesus asked Peter three times if you loved him and Peter responded that he did, but with a different kind of love than what Jesus asked.  Jesus went deep inside the heart of Peter and dealt with the issues he had there.  Peter denied Jesus three times and now Jesus not only demonstrates his forgiveness of Peter, but also gave him an incredible task for the future of Christianity.
Listen as Pastor Marianne Unger shows us the awesome love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ and challenges us to be the same as Jesus’ disciples.
